One of my most meaningful painting experiences was recreating a scene inspired by Tyler, the Creator’s music video *“Perfect,”* which features Kali Uchis—two of my all-time favorite artists. Their music resonates deeply with me on both an emotional and creative level, and translating that inspiration into a painting made the experience especially powerful. As I worked on the piece, I felt a strong sense of being seen and understood, as if the art allowed me to visually express what their music makes me feel. This painting became a way to celebrate the artists who continually inspire me and whose work reminds me that my own creativity and emotions have a place.
